Me Again, late to blog as always!!!

Hey...

Another crazy few weeks have gone by! where does the time go??? I can't believe what I get up to these days, so busy its untrue! We tried to book a lie in the other day, looking like some time in August maybe!! :)

Anyway, here's the goss of whats been happening since I last blogged.

29/4 - 02/05 The big 'outing'
The weekend of the Royal wedding was an eventful one, watched it and weeped like any girl at a wedding and then had a BBQ at mothers (in the wind!) with a few scoops and had a really nice relaxing day. On the Saturday we started rehearsals for the upcoming 'next generation' show being held at Royal Northern college of music on 18/19th June, (big plug there!) it was great to see how all the little ones have grown and how much they have progressed since the last show, got to have a sneaky peek at the other dances and got a tad excited at how the show will turn out.

Saturday night we went to one of many 40th Parties we will be attending this year, this one was for a girl from work. Now the thing is nobody at work knew (note I say knew) about me and my fella seeing each other, yes we do work together, so this was also the night of us 'coming out' we knew of a couple of the guests that were attending but not about the one who would eventually 'out' us at work. Don't get me wrong, its not an issue us seeing one another and not really a problem that people at work knew, we just wanted to leave it as long as possible and try to avoid being the works gossip. This of course was not to be! By Tuesday morning (Monday was bank holiday!) the world of Mono were aware that I am seeing Mr Ken Ball and that I had indeed touched his bottom at the bar! (Harlot!) There were mixed reactions and a lot of "no ways" and "how did you manage to keep it a secret so long",  but on the whole the news was taken quite well and I apparently have made a good catch!! :)  A while before the news broke at work, I had already created the Ken Ball Appreciation Society (KBAS) due to the fact that whenever I had told the secret to friends they all went on about how much they loved him! (",). Anyway so there it was out in the open.

That weekend was quite an eventful one for me actually, there was the work 'outing' and I also met Ken's family for the first time too, was a tad nervous to be fair but all seemed OK in the end...( I think they liked me?? LOL)
We went for a bike ride with Lizzie his daughter on the Monday, I think Ken was actually out to kill me! we did the Hadfield trail, 6 miles along lovely scenic views... sounds nice??? AGAINST THE WIND!!! not so nice! :( anyway I somehow survived and made it to the end and to be honest the ride back was well worth it!

06/05- 08/5 York
The following weekend brought with it Katie's hen weekend in York, what a ball! We rented a 5 bed town house in York for 10 of us and had such a fab weekend! Friday night we met at Erika's (Katie's big sis) and a minibus collected us and drove us to the house, once there we had a slumber party with pizza's, cakes etc... and a karaoke session! The Lowe sisters are ace singers and absolutely fantastic hosts and I had such a good night I didn't want to go to bed!

Saturday we woke to a wonderful cooked breakfast made by Sarah, (another sister) and then ventured into York for the afternoon, a few beers on the riverside, a bit of shopping, a lot of LIPPing and then back to the house for cream teas and champagne on the patio at 5pm. (heaven!!)

Saturday night we dressed in 70's gear and went on the river cruise, it was ace! A fab night was had by all including the bride to be who happened to throw up UP the stairs in a nightclub around about midnight! Needless to say we were all back in our PJ's by 12.30 relaxing and enjoying each others company!

14/05-15/05 Leeds

Another weekend later and there I was packing my bags and sodding off again!! This time to Leeds to celebrate one of my best mates 40th and also knock a few things off the list! including my final Lipp in my 4th city, (No 5)  a pop video (No 4) and karaoke on my own (27)!!

Saturday Morning, there we were drinking champagne on the train with our Black hoodies on and our goody bags given to us by Shelley (birthday girl) I had organised this one so felt the need to make sure everything went just right! I had given everybody instruction packs as to who they were sharing with, an itinerary of the weekend and of course their teams. Ha ha, we basically split into 4 teams of 5 and I set a list of challenges for every team to complete. Ttotally broke the ice for those that didn't really know anybody and got the party started in style.

Saturday afternoon, we made the pop video, OMG what fun!! I would recommend that to any group of girls who are up for a laugh, we had a BALL! We had pre chosen Blondie's One way or Another and the choreographer came up with some great routines to suit us all, if the finished product is as good as it looked when we were making it it will be awesome!!!

Saturday night we dressed as gangsters and went full swing to the OK Karaoke bar, we had teams songs, group songs and of course my very own solo!!! I sang Black eyed peas, tonights gonna be a good night! I actually think I danced more than I sang but nevertheless I was up there on my own giving it my all!!!

Another fantastic weekend away with such fab friends.

If the last few months have shown me nothing else they have proved to me what a great bunch of friends I have, I am privileged enough to have a lot of friends and in fact on the three weekends away that I have been on none of them were with the same people, that shows either two things, I am a popular lady with fab friends who love to party or I will indeed attend the opening of an envelope!!! ha ha

Anyway, I digress, Sunday we carried on with the laughter on the train home and finished our weekend together reminding each other of the many silly things we had got up to!

Sunday afternoon, I met Ken in Manchester as he had just completed the 10K Greater Manchester run in 54 mins... was gutted I wasn't there to see him finish but did give him a big hug to show him how proud I was. That night we went for an Italian to celebrate and I had to remind him that all though he might have run 10k and lost a few pounds I still had 40lbs to lose and really must get on with it!!! :(

21-22May - Triathlon
This weekend was another busy one albeit somewhat more relaxed and sober than the previous two!  A party for Cameron for his cousin Enya's 4th birthday saw us up and out at 10am Saturday, there we were with no lie in again, running around bizzy bouncers and having a great time, Saturday afternoon I had dance rehearsals and Saturday night I chilled at Ken's whilst Laura and Cameron had a take away and Dr Who evening.

Sunday we were up nice an early and got set to watch Ken in the cheshire triathlon, we took Lizzie with us and lots of home made banners and flags to cheer him on. Our flags all had KBAS (see previously mentioned) and Lizzie provided whistles, 2 kids with whistles and a deep K B A S chant did not bode well with the organiser let me tell you!!! Anyway, Ken did the triathlon in 1hr 4mins and 10 seconds, a fantastic achievement if you ask me! He came 19th out of 74 and was only 10 minutes behind the guy that came 1st!!! Seriously couldn't tell him how proud I was!!!!! This of course deserved another celebratory meal and off we went for an Indian (40lbs before January?? what do we reckon!!)

So here we are another weekend fast approaching, and yes its full of plans!!! out with Ken, out with the girls, a walk up Dovestones and a trip to Bangor to bring my princess home from uni.....I'm sure I'll fill you all in soon!!!

Anyway, that was May!!! lets see what the month of June brings... Birthdays, parties, Dance show and the Mono football tournament. look out June here I come!

Thanks for reading I know it was a long one and yes if I blogged more they wouldn't be!!!
Take care

Please forgive me for I have sinned!!!

Oh dear its been a while!!! I really really need to get into this blogging malarkey don't I? either that or stop being so bl00dy busy!!....ermmmm N'ah :-)
Anyway, what a fantastic few weeks I've had, where to begin? I've knocked a couple of things off the list, been on a hen night to Notts, celebrated Laura's 21st and  been away to Crete, doesn't stop there though, I have two more weekends away in May and a busy few weeks ahead (AGAIN!)

So the last time I blogged was March, the week we went to the Cherries reunion, had a really good night and was good to catch up with some old school friends, keep thinking about arranging a school reunion now we are all nearing 40 but have that much planned already it would have to be much later in the year before I do... (Looking for help there Lou!!??) :)

The week after we went to Nottingham for Liv's hen night, was fab, I LIPPED in NOTTS, (No 5) so thats Notts, Manchester and Sissi now, sure i'll manage to LIP in lots of other places too!! tee hee
We had such a great weekend, with lots of laughs.

The following week was of course my Princesses 21st birthday, You really don't know how old that made me feel!  We had a party at home and loads of people turned up to help her celebrate, we have some lovely friends and family and it was such a good night. The party piece was of course the cake! My friend Katie made a camper van cake for her with a personalised number plate LBE 21, Laura loved it!

So after a weekend of cleaning to prepare for the party, then the party itself, then the clean up operation afterwards it was time to pack for Crete! pheeeewwww.

Friday 8th April, Me, the kids, my mum and my nieces from Ireland and their mum Trisha boarded the plane to sunny Crete for a week of sun, sea and sex on the beach cocktails... had a great week, hotel was lovely and the weather was just right, I caught an amazing tan even if I do say so myself!! The food was really nice as was the free beer and cocktails!! Trouble was a lot of the desserts were chocolate based and I was of course doing No 30 on the list - no chocolate for 40 days!- I must say though I did myself proud and did not give in to any chocolate at  all!

15th April and we were back to reality, went for a walk with my man on the Sunday and boy did I know I had been away!!! it was like being back to square one, I was knackered and a tad upset that I'd let myself down, Snowdon is booked for July so I really need to get into this walking up hills shiz... a glass or three of wine in the pub on the way back soon made me feel better! LOL

Then it was back to work :( and before I knew it Easter was upon us!! 4 lovely days off to relax, spent a lovely day in Bangor on the pier crab fishing, left Laura in Bangor to get on with her dissertation, my baby has like a month left at university and its into the real world for her!

Monday, we went for a lovely bike ride, we were going for a 20 miler but unfortunatley my fella's bike broke half way up the track, so after a quick temporary fix we decided to turn back and go for our picnic, it was such a pleasant afternoon, very chilled etc... except for Cameron never stopping talking! can't think where he gets it from??? (",) so anyway that evening, trying to prove that I am still young and down with the kids, we all start doing Rollie Pollies on the bed and handstands against the wall! I did nearly attempt a crab but bottled it in the end... anyway, I am clearly not young and down with the kids as a trip to the doctor this morning proved! seems I tore a muscle whilst rollie pollieing and have been in quite some pain since! strong painkillers and deep heat are helping and hopefully it'll mend itself soon??

Anyway, coming up over the next few weeks:  We start dance reherseals on saturday for the show in June, (No 16) football practice for the Mono footie tournament (No 14)  a weekend in York for Katie's hen party and a weekend in Leeds for Shelley's 40th making a pop video (No 4)

Have booked a week off doing nothing sometime next year!!! ha ha

Anyway, I now pledge to update this blog more often!!

Take care dudes! XXXX

NEW CAR....YEY!!!

Would just like to announce the new arrival to our family! Steve, the Peugeot 307! Love it!!!!
He's making a few funny noises at the minute but I'm hoping a quick trip to the garage will solve this, typical man taking his time getting used to me hey?? ha ha

In other news, I made friends with the man at Droylsden tip this weekend, I emptied all the crap from the spare rooms and then  moved Cameron into the 'Blue' room on the east wing. He loves his room and the fact he now has a double bed. I've got a new bed too and my weekend is going to include Laura and I swapping rooms and my 'someone special' (He'll get a name soon I promise) building my new King size bed YEY!!!

Going swimming tonight, hopefully help towards next weeks weight loss, I missed weigh in this week but I've been pretty good and I did swim 52 lengths last week so I'm confident in a weight loss next week.

Looking forward to speanding a weekend with my two favourite fella's and also saturday night is the Cherries reunion, hopefully I'll be catching up with a lot of old school friends. :) according to the book of face quite a few of them are going. Gonna get some walking practice in on Sunday, we are dog sitting this weekend (!!)  so weather permitting its a long walk round Lyme park for us. :)

Catch ya's soon xxx

Ooooh nearly missed a week there again!

Busy busy lady, doing lots of lovely things! including some of my list things!!

I went to the birdcage with Von last weekend, and got up on the pole!! Classy bird as always!! legs and arms were killing afterwards tho...but hey I got up and drove the moving van for R Di the next morning!

lost 1.5lb at SW last week, (must have been the pole dancing??)  making that 5 out of 40 up to now, Really really need to get my head in the game with this one if I want to do 40 in the year, can't believe its 6 weeks since my birthday already! Where does the time go?? Am starting the 40 day chocolate challenge tommorow, thought it would be good to combine it with lent, wouldn't mind I'm not a great chocolate lover but watch this now I'll be craving like mad!! God help me when it comes to the alcohol one!! ha ha

Gave to three charities, so thats 5 out of 40 up to now. :)

Made a start on clearing out the spare rooms so I can swap us all around and decorate, got to go on a Hen night, have Laura's 21st and go on holiday first though!!! aren't I lucky???

The most exciting news of all is my new car!!!! YEY!!! bank of Mum and Dad offered to give me a loan for a newish car and yesterday we went to view a few, I picked an 05 plate silver Peugot 307 and can have it from Friday!!! You would not believe how happy I am about this!!!

Am one mega happy girl at the min! Had a lovely weekend with my someone special, being spoilt makes me happy! :) not used to it but love it and am looking forward to my busy few weeks. Watch this space, will put some pics on as soon as I can!!!

Catch ya's soon !!! XXXXXX

OH NO I am failing my challenge!!!

25.2.11
Number 1 on my 40th list is to create a blog and update weekly, I failed already by not updating last week!! oooops....I'l double up this week and hopefully redeem myself???!!!

Been another couple of busy weeks, busy at work, emotionally unstable and 2 great weekends!!! Was spoilt again at valentines, first time in years somebody bought me flowers because they wanted to and not out of guilt! LOL ...
Last weekend was fab, My friend Lynn from dancing was 40 and had a house party on Friday, was great to see all the girls (past and present dancers) and have a catch up, those of us booked on the leeds make a pop video (No 4) weekend for Shelleys 40th in May got a bit giddy discussing it, I am 'in charge' of organising this weekend and have loads of things planned for when we are there. We decided on the theme for the evening (gangsters) and there is a debate on at the minute for what song we gonna do for the video, think Blondies one way or another is winning at the moment. YEY!!! anyway, woke up saturday feeling a tad poorly (blame the wine!!) but made it through the day!!!
Was treated to some new walking pants (No19) and chilled for the rest of the day.On sunday we went walking up Hobson Moor and just walked and walked, thought we had probably covered 3 miles but it turns out we actually walked about 5 which I was quite pleased about!!! Thought that and the two dance classes I'd done in the week would have helped toward some weight loss this week but apparantly not! stayed the same and was well peeeeeed off!!! Hopefully I'll see it next week??? Anyway the walk was surprisingly quite pleasant ( I loved it!) it didn't feel like a chore this time but then again it wasn't as muddy or hilly as the week before. We are going to try a 'more challenging' one next time. Snowdon is planned for July now so lots of training to be put in before then!! :)
Got a busy few weeks ahead of me, Laura is 21 in 4 weeks (yes I know I don't look old enough to have a 21 year old!! LOL)   and we are having a house party! This means I have to empty my house of all the crap I currently have in it!!! good excuse for a clearout I suppose!
Anyway, am off with the girls to the Birdcage tonight, looking forward to the show and a good dance! can't overindulge though as I have volunteered my removal van driving skills tommorow for R Di. (glutton for punishment or too bl00dy nice for my own good???!!)

Heres to a lovely weekend and I promise to blog next week!

Am so unfit!!

Well its Friday and I've only just made it for this weeks blog, been so busy at work I just haven't had the time to get on here this week!

Anyway, last weekend was great! We had a great night out with work at the comedy store on Friday, but boy was I a tad drunk! Nevertheless I made it up come saturday and was treated to a lovely day including a shopping trip to Decathlon for some Walking boots and coat, both in preparation for No 19 on the list (climbing snowdon!).

Sunday saw my first walk in God knows how long and Oh My God what a shock I got! Now, I go dancing twice a week and I actually didn't think I was so unfit but walking up to Hartsead really did become a chore at one stage!! But I carried on and to be honest I did enjoy it in the end!! I think the reallity of how unfit I am really hit home sooooo I made my mind up on the way home that yes I am well gonna get into this and go for it! Snowdon WILL be conquered even if it kills me! you never know I could be doing Everest soon (ha ha doubt it really!!)

Anyway every cloud has a silver lining as they say and at Mondays weigh in I was very pleased to learn that I had lost 3.5lbs so No15 is off to a good start...watch this space I'll be a stick soon (ha ha again I doubt it!)

Anyway, after a great weekend I was hit with the reality of the office come Monday! Busy week but hey I got to the end of it and tonight I'm off to a valentines disco with my little Dude Cameron!! Bless him he's such a cutie!!

Anyway I am hoping for a Quiet weekend this weekend, let's see how that goes!

Speak soon XXXX

More birthday celebrations...

Well No 15 on the list isn't getting off to a very good start! and therefore No 22 is losing out too!

Was Camerons birthday this week, Cant believe he is 9 already! My life has changed massively since I had him. When I had Laura at 18 I vowed that I would never have another child until I was happily married and settled, which is of course what I did and Cameron came along 18 months after we got married. Alas the marriage was not to be so my plans of not being a single parent to two kids were scuppered. I wouldn't change my two for the world though and am proud of what I have acheived since being on my own, its tough stuff don't get me wrong but we are better as we are and I am such a stronger person because of what we have gone through.

Anyway I went off track then, My little Dude was 9 and boy did I know it! a lovely wake up call at 4am and then every half hour onwards until I finally agreed to get up at 6am, seriously the kid was worse than I am at christmas and thats bad!  He had a lovely day, complete with a meal and a trip to the flicks with his bezzie mate Joe & all in all I think I did a good job for him! Bless him he gave me a massive hug just as he went to bed and thanked me for a great day. :)

Went to visit Jayden this weekend too, I managed lots of cuddles and to feed him and got ever so broody! but then I remembered how hard it really is so gave him back!

Sooo meals out and birthday cakes and cuddles and cup cakes did me no good towards loing 40lbs! I am hoping the scales don't scream at this weeks weigh in! and if I don't lose some weight soon I'll never get on a bl00dy horse!!!

looking forward to a busy weekend, we are out at the comedy store this weekend with work, (belated Xmas party) and my someone special is coming over for the weekend, buying my walking boots and going for a hike on saturday in practice for the big Snowdon climb! daft as it sounds I'm quite excited about this, I'm sure I'll tell you all about it next week!

Have a great week guys!  xxx
